Today we’re taking a look at the latest trailer for microbudget horror The Pact.

As a young woman prepares to clean out the home of her deceased mother and attempt to come to terms with the terrors of her childhood, she suddenly goes missing. When her sister arrives to find out what happens, she begins to suspect something sinister is happening in their family home.


The Pact is actually based on a short that writer/director Nicolas McCarthy shot in 2011, which acted as a proof of concept for his feature filmmaking debut – fact fans may be interested to note that the original starred Firefly’s Jewel Staite in the lead role.

Staite doesn’t feature here, replaced by relative unknown Caity Lotz who gets to handle most of the creeps, alongside Starship Troopers alum Casper Van Dien.

The Pact hits video on demand in the states this week and theatres in Ireland and the UK on the 8th of June. We’ll have a full review then.
