While we’re not exactly clamouring for a sequel to X-Men spin-off Wolverine, 20th Century Fox seem keen to get it off the ground as soon as possible, snapping up Walk the Line director James Mangold when Darren Aronofsky walked from the project earlier this year.
All seemed set for a late 2011 shoot but the production has been plagued by problems, mostly revolving around gaining access to locations in Japan. Now it seems that Hugh Jackman may delay the start even further by taking on the role of Jean Valjean in another big screen adaptation of Les Miserables, with The King’s Speech director Tom Hooper at the helm. It’s not looking good for the return of our favourite mutant.
