The sequel to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs has been titled Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers. It is a clever title which harks back to events from the first film, maintains the theme and gives audiences an idea of the peril that the townspeople are going to face. The title was discovered on a Sony Pictures Animation print ad, alongside Men in Black 3, The Smurfs 2 and a Ghostbusters title. In recent weeks, the project also picked up John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Horrible Bosses) to write, and Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn to direct. The main charactersare expected to return. Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers is expected to be released in cinemas in December 2013.
