We’ve already had word that a new entry in the
Sly Cooper series, entitled
Thieves in Time, is on the way towards the end of 2012 and now
Sony has confirmed some more details, including all new
Vita functionality.
Thieves in Timecontinues the story of the titular thieftastic racoon and his endless pursuit of loot. On this occasion, Sly and friends head out on a chronology hopping adventure to relocate the Thievius Raccoonus, giving players the chance to play as all new characters across several different time periods.
Development has passed from original makers
Sucker Punch to
Sanzaru Games, who did a great job on the HD conversions for the recent Sly Collection, making us all the more hopeful for this new iteration.
Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed today that
Thieves in Time will give gamers the chance to take advantage of the cross-save feature. This all new addition will allow you to use cloud based saving to seamlessly transition from your
PS3 console to the
PS Vita and back, continuing your game whereever, whenever.
The improved controls on the
Vita, alongside its class leading hardware and glorious 5 inch screen mean that for the first time it’s actually possible to get a comparable experience on the go. We can’t wait to try out the feature when the game arrives in
Q4 2012.
